Social Studies

Today we continued our learning about New Zealand.  We watched a mini movie about New Zealand birds.  We then chose a bird to draw using pastel on black paper.  Thank you to Ms Holmes for showing us how to blend the pastels to show the colours of the feathers.  We drew...the white heron, kiwi, kaka, kakapo, pukeko, royal albatross, yellow eyed penguin, takahe and of course the cheeky kea!
